One Small Piece (BJ Edwards / Kat Jones)

from No Playbook: Real Recruiting Stories · host Casey Beaman

Guests: Kat Jones (Director of NIL for UT) & BJ Edwards (Vols Basketball Player)On this episode, you’ll hear from Tennessee Basketball player BJ Edwards, who is actually from East TN. He grew up in the Tri-Cities area and then moved to Knoxville for high school. BJ has trained at D1 for many years, so we talk about that experience and what his outlook is on the team and the upcoming NCAA tournament. Curious about NIL? Well, I’ve got an absolute expert on this episode to talk about the inside-story. This person is more connected to NIL than any sports agency or coach in the country. She’s the Director of NIL for the University of Tennessee Athletic Department. As of right now, UT is the only school that has someone dedicated entirely to NIL. Her name is Kat Jones and we work with her a lot on different deals. D1 Training is an obvious fit for NIL deals with college athletes, so I’m always reaching out to Kat for her thoughts on different deals I’d like to offer to current student-athletes. D1 Training is a results-driven sports training facility that offers over 20+ years of experience and has trained over 1,000 pro athletes. We’ve got a 5-Star Training system that comes from Division 1 Strength and Conditioning programs. Personal training, team training, youth developmental programs, adult boot camp classes, and so much more!
