Send us Fan MailThe Orange Brick Road Podcast | Episode 5Welcome back to the Orange Brick Road PodcastToday we are very excited to be hosting two special guests from the Perth Heat professional Baseball Club. They are the CEO, Steve Nelkovski, and the Chief Bitcoin Office, Patrick O'Sullivan.  The Perth Heat are the very first professional sports team to operate on the Bitcoin Standard. This means they pay players and staff in Bitcoin, accept Bitcoin payments for sponsorships, merchandise, and ballpark concessions, and Hodl Bitcoin on the club’s balance sheet. Steve explains, "We firmly believe that the mindset that Bitcoin imparts on network participants will be felt by our players, coaches, staff, and our loyal fan base and we look forward to setting the bar for how much value a sports organisation can bring to a community in the Bitcoin age. By embracing the underlying values of the Bitcoin protocol we believe that the organisation can reach new levels of success both on and off the field and remind the world of the true value of sports."This is an exciting initiative for sports teams globally and we are proud to announce that OBR will be supporting the team as they continue to innovate with cryptocurrency. So listen in and be inspired as they talk through how they have achieved this as a professional sports club.Perth Heat:https://perthheat.com.au/Steve Nelkovski:https://www.linkedin.com/in/steven-nelkovski-bab87518/?originalSubdomain=auDisclaimer:Orange Brick Road is not a registered investment, legal or tax advisor or a broker/dealer.
