Original Canon Series Part 5

from The God Culture · host The God Culture

In 1947, the Voice in the Wilderness cried out yet again. Did you hear it? Every book of the modern Old Testament canon was found in a scroll library dated to as early as 300 B.C. This was kept by the Sons of Zadok, the Levite Aaronic Priestly line who led Temple Worship since the days of Solomon and whose family was ordained to keep scripture, the Bible, up until that time according to Moses and even Yacob before him. They are the group exiled to Qumran, not Essenes which is one of the most illiterate control lines today. Only 1 book was not found from the OT Canon – the Book of Esther. Is this a condemnation of that book or is it scripture and perhaps an oversight? In this 4-part series within our Original Canon Series, we are going to vet this fully. In this first video, we cover the history of Esther which to the surprise of many, even long before this rejection from the Temple Priests exiled to Qumran, there have been massive objections from scholars regarding this book's canonicity. Who kept as scripture and who did not? Then, we will cover the so-called "Proto-Esther" fragments in the next video. Is it Esther or are they taking credit due another book? We will then cover the story of Esther compared to other texts from the same exact time period and even the year at the beginning of Esther. Does it fit Bible as well as Persian history? Finally, we will assess the ancient accusation that Esther originates in an occult legend. Is it true? It's time to explore the Original Canon.
