Lt. Colonel (Retired) US Army Signal Corps. and avid overland enthusiast Lan Dalat (aka The Landalorian) talks with us on his efficient ways of prepping for an overland trip, processes and gear. His many years of service in the Army, postings all across the world were the catalyst for his passion of overlanding. Lan uses systems born in the Army to help him have epic off-road adventures with his family. Using "Troop Leading Procedures" by selecting the mission, issuing warning orders, making a tentative plans, initiating necessary movement, conducting recon and executing the mission allows for efficient and easy trip planning. He also describes processes such as PCC (pre-combat/overland check) PACE (with regards to gear: primary, auxiliary, contingency and emergency) and many other tips you can use to prep for your next adventures.
