Pacers Acquire Ivica Zubac! Tony East, Anne Marie Tiernon, and Matt Taylor Join!

(00:00-28:41) – Query & Company opens on a Thursday with Jake Query and producer Eddie Garrison highlighting some of the trades that were made yesterday in the NBA as today marks the trade deadline. Jake also shares some thoughts on the situation the Pacers find themselves in with Bennedict Mathurin. Anne Marie Tiernon from WTHR joins the program from Milan to highlight some of the different venues that are being utilized during the winter Olympics, shares what will be going on for the opening ceremony and compares this experience so far to previous Olympics she has covered.  (28:41-43:11) – Tony East from Locked On Pacers, Circle City Spin, and Forbes Sports joins the show as he heads downtown for Pacers practice to discuss how likely it is that Indiana deals Bennedict Mathurin today, examines what Ivica Zubac and Daniel Gafford bring to the table with the Pacers linked to those centers, explains why a team would be hesitant trading for Mathurin from a contractual standpoint, and admits that he is surprised that Ja Morant hasn’t been traded for Memphis.  (43:11-48:32) – The first hour of the show concludes with Jake asking Eddie a question that he put out on social media. Would you rather know who the winner of Sunday’s Super Bowl is and be able to profit from it, or mandate a specific team to win their championship but not be able to profit from it?  (48:32-1:08:16) – Hour number two of Query & Company starts with Jake Query drawing comparisons to the NBA Trade Deadline and the Super Bowl. He also wonders what will stop Daniel Jones from entertaining offers from other teams this offseason and why would the Minnesota Vikings not want to go all-in to bring him back if they believe that they have a roster that is ready to win.  (1:08:16 -1:26:41) – Voice of the Indianapolis Colts, Matt Taylor, joins the show and his conversation with Jake starts with them discussing Sunday’s Super Bowl matchup between the Seattle Seahawks and New England Patriots, tonight’s trivia night at Ale Emporium in Greenwood that he is hosting, and gives Jake a sample question.   (1:26:41 -1:29:19) – Hour number two of the show concludes with Jake and Eddie wondering how many people actually went out of their way to watch the Pro Bowl Games last night.   (1:29:19-1:55:49) – The final hour of today’s show starts with Jake Query asking Eddie for a rundown of the trades that have been made today in the NBA. As Jake started talking about Sunday’s Super Bowl matchup, Shams Charania of ESPN broke the news that the Indiana Pacers have traded for Ivica Zubac.
