Paralyzed by Moderna: A Case of Transverse Myelitis

Kayla Pollock believed she was protecting her health. She has been treated for Type I diabetes for years and her healthcare providers felt receiving the covid vaccine would give her the best protection. She received her first set of vaccines with no issues or concerns. In February of 2022 she went to get her booster, which was from Moderna, and within days lost her ability to stand. Over the course of a few weeks her condition deteriorated. The Canadian healthcare system told her she was faking being paralyzed and recommended her for a psych evaluation.   Hours later Kayla received an MRI scan which showed crippling transverse myelitis around a long portion of her spine. She had become a quadriplegic as a result of a vaccine injury.   After hearing Kayla’s story, I knew I needed someone with medical credentials to assist in telling her story. I reached out to my colleague, Dr. Peter McCullough, to cohost this episode for the benefit of both Kayla and my listening audience.   Listening to today’s episode you will notice several key details.
