from The Parsha Perspective · host Rabbi Shalom Yemini

Parshas Behar & Bechukosai, the bottom line. This week's Parsha Perspective is dedicated in memory of the 45 people who passed away in Meron on Lag B'Omer. May Hashem comfort their families. And may Hashem give a complete and speedy recovery to those who were injured. This week's Parsha Perspective is in honor of the complete and speedy recovery of Shaul Ben Berta and Dalit Bas Shoshana. This week's Parsha Perspective is dedicated to the memory of Shlomo Ben Edward and Edward Ben Shaul. May their souls be uplifted and their memories a blessing. Click here to listen, watch and connect! https://linktr.ee/parshaperspective This Shabbos is Shabbos Chazak as we end the third book of the Torah, Sefer Vayikra. Our Parshas begin with an overview of the laws of Shemitah and Yovel. Shemitah is a seven-year cycle in which we may farm the land for six years; however, we must let the land rest in the seventh year. The Yovel cycle, which also requires letting the land rest, is the first year after seven Shemitah cycles. We find out why we are given the Mitzvahs of Shemitah and Yovel at the end of the book of Vayikra? We learn how our holiness should be used in daily life!
