Parshaperspective.com Our Parsha contains one of the most fundamental and meaningful stories in all of Judaism — Akeidas Yitzchak, the binding of Yitzchak. When Yitzchak was thirty-seven years old, Hashem appeared to Avraham and told him, “Take your son, your only son Yitzchak and offer him as a sacrifice”. However, just as Avraham was about to offer Yitzchak as a sacrifice, an angel called out and told him to use a ram instead. We find out why this specific Torah portion is read on Rosh Hashanah. We learn the extent of our forefather's belief and trust in God's Words.
