from Neon Shadows: A Noir Tale · host Ian Knowles / Blunderbust Studios

We had just 48 hours to write, vo, sound engineer, and submit a fully finished horror story with a few old friends and many new faces, er, voices. Our major prompt was horror for all shows. We had to wait till the clock started ticking for our subgenre. We got comedy! But we couldn't post this till voting finished. So the Neon Shadows team accompanied by some new friends presents our submission: Monster Mash Live! The move towards more renewables in our energy systems complicates matters even further, requiring the development of an integrated power grid and continuous and steady transformation of the UK power system. Network flows must be managed reliably under uncertain demands, uncertain supply, emerging network technologies and possible failures and, further, prices in related markets can be highly volatile. Mathematicians working with engineers and economists, can make significant contributions to address such issues, by helping to develop fit-for-purpose models for next generation energy systems.
