Josh Sanders (@kernalsanders2 via Instagram) first gained his passion for athletic training when he first attended a Chicago Bears/Minnesota Vikings game in 2017. Then, his friend, and current AT of the Utah Jazz, Lionel Rice, was serving as an AT for the Minnesota Vikings. Upon observing his friend at that very game, fascinated by the field, Josh (almost immediately) quit his job as a coach and made a pact to pursue a career in athletic training. A current Athletic Trainer for the USFL's New Orleans Breakers, Josh has previously held roles with Florida International University's football program and the Miami Dolphins. With nearly six years accrued in the field of Athletic Training, Josh opens up about his career, discussing the ebbs and flows of his day-to-day process. Arguably one of the most compelling, one of the most triumphant stories told on the Strive Sports Podcast thus far, in Season #1...Ladies and gentlemen, fresh off of signing with his NEW home in the USFL, New Orleans Breakers' WR Cam Echols-Luper (@Cam2xs via Twitter 'X') sits down with Host Keegan Hartman (@KeeganHartman1 via Twitter 'X') to "clear the air" on this week's installment of the podcast. Having spent his first two years in the USFL with the New Jersey Generals, helping them to propel to a 9-1 record their inaugural season (along with being crowned North Division Champions in 2022), but with, Echols-Luper's story, you must FIRST revisit the past in order for you to understand the present... Growing up in Ennis, Texas, and eventually playing (And excelling) at high school ball at Auburn High School in Auburn, Alabama, some might say that Cam Echols-Luper was an overlooked commodity coming out of high school. A swiss knife on the gridiron, and a speed demon on the track, Cam would excel and gain attention of many schools for both his football and track & field talent. Having broke many records in Track & Field for Auburn High School, and even taking State Titles for the Tigers' Track team, Cam was determined to succeed at the collegiate level in both sports. Late in his senior year, after decommitting from Texas A&M, it would ultimately be TCU in which Cam Echols-Luper would be calling home, and in 2014, Cam would arrive on campus, along with his step father, Curtis, who [at the time] would serve as the wide receiver coach for the Horned Frogs...But after his freshman season, things begin to take an unsettling turn, forcing Cam to make a crucial decision that would ultimately change the trajectory of/for both his football and track & field career(s)...As Cam talks about in his collegiate journey, and reflecting on his time at TCU, Cam incurs an array of both on-the-field and off-the-filed discrepencies that hinder Cam from reaching his full potential.
