from DailyStraits.com - Something Different! · host dailystraits.com

Produced and Edited by June Ramli Quitting University to Build a Business Welcome to another episode of 30 minutes with DailyStraits.com. Our guest today is one of New Zealand’s finest businessman Aaron McDonald, the winner of the Ernest and Young Entrepreneur of the year award and CEO and founder of Centrality –one of New Zealand's largest blockchain companies. To those of you who don’t know what a blockchain is, it is essentially a digital record of data that isn’t managed by one central authority like a bank or a company. Anyone in the world can update or view that record – depending on what permissions they have with each update known as a “block.” Aaron is no stranger to the tech world and has over 20 years of experience in the industry where he’s manages portfolios with over $1billion in revenue. Besides Centrality, Aaron is the advisor and director for 27 ventures and is involved with regulatory, industry and enterprise blockchain initiatives across the globe. So, today we are gonna ask Aaron about how he felt after his company earned over NZ$100 million in 2018 as Centrality's cyber tokens sold out within six minutes and how the company has evolved in the last three years. Without further ado, let’s listen to the interview here:
