Lauren is the founder and CEO of Multitudes, a workplace tool that provides managers insights to create happier, better-performing teams by highlighting blind spots and providing them with the correct recommendations on how to improve workplace engagement. Despite still being in its infancy, the company which started in Dec 2019 has already brought in its first customers last year and has raised AUD$2.2 million in seed capital from Blackbird Ventures with participation from renowned angel investors such as Ellen Pao, the previous CEO of Reddit and Jon Williams, co-founder of Culture Amp. The company is now slated to launch its beta version and has gone from an all-Kiwi user base to a global one. So, today we are gonna talk to Lauren about why she decided to start a business in New Zealand instead of her home country of the USA.
