A.J. Ewing had an unbelievable MLB debut and the New York Mets broke out offensively to beat the Detroit Tigers, 10-2. Well, there were questions about whether or not Ewing could provide a spark for the Mets offense. Those questions were answered rather quickly. The 21-year-old in his MLB debut was on base four times, drove in two runs and hit a triple for his first big league hit.  And the rest of the team responded. Every starter for the Mets had a hit. The top of the lineup combined for 5 hits and 3 RBI's.  Oh yeah, and Freddy Peralta through six good innings tonight as well.  It was a type of game the Mets haven't had many of this season.
