POSTCAST: Mets Take Opener Behind 4-Run Sixth, Peterson SOLID In Relief

The New York Mets used a four-run sixth inning to win their third game out of their last four, defeating the Colorado Rockies 4-2.  It took a bit for the offense, who were held hitless over the first five innings by Rockies starter Tomoyuki Sugano. But a Carson Benge homer and a two-RBI hit from Mark Vientos book-ended a four run frame for the bats. David Peterson got his first win of the 2026 season, as he looked good once again in the bullpen role.
