Praying Like Jesus: Sanctification

The seventh element of praying like Jesus is found in the request, "lead us not into temptation." Since we are tempted because of our sin nature, it stands to reason that when we pray for God to "lead us not into temptation" that we should also pray for God to continue His sanctifying work in our lives. After all, one of the best ways to avoid temptation is to weaken our old sin nature and strengthen our new spiritual nature.
