Preludes & Apocrypha: Octavius & Sons (est. 1765)

from Little Werewomen · host Little Werewomen

A Letter from the Publisher of PRELUDES & APOCRYPHA: September 5th, 1906Ladies, Gentlemen, and Respected Wolf-Persons: Octavius & Sons, Inc. (est. 1765) is pleased to bring you the inaugural issue of Preludes & Apocrypha. In an unusual departure from our thrilling catalog of academic journals like Beginner’s Advanced Ætherics and Elizabethan Wigs Weekly, this new quarterly publication will be solely devoted to the exotic cultural traditions of the ‘non-humans,’ i.e., the werewolves or wolf-men. This literary experiment has been overseen by none other than celebrated Lupine authoress, Miss Josdarama March. Her award-winning works “The Anatomist” and “Talons Out! A Play in Ten Acts” have achieved widespread acclaim. Now, she brings the ancient lore of her mysterious species to a wider audience. Many of my colleagues were taken aback at the announcement of our new publication. Some expressed alarm at this 'risky decision' and a few even had the gall to suggest it could ruin us... Nonsense, I say! Octavius & Sons, Inc. (est. 1765) was founded on boldness. My great-grandfather, L. Philomon Octavius put it best when he penned our motto: “Truft & Fearleff Truthf Printed at Rocke-Bottom Pricef, Expir’d Couponf and Flemifh Currency Not Accepted.” In that spirit, we carry on. As always, we thank you for your bold, non-refundable subscription and sincerely hope that you enjoy Preludes & Apocrypha for many years to come. Warmest Regards, Charles Octavius, Sr., Publisher PRELUDES & APOCRYPHA: Now available in lavish, full-color edition and in glorious monochrome!
