Manuel Rodríguez Banch: abogado laboral Primer segmento: • El proceso histórico electoral del PPD y el PNP visto en su conjunto o Respuesta a lo radical en el nacionalismo o Unipartidismo Segundo segmento: • Surgimiento del bipartidismo y el proceso económico • El vínculo del exilio cubano en ese proceso • Excepto en la defensa del ELA, las diferencias entre los partidos es muy poca • El auge internacional neoliberal comienza en Puerto Rico con Rafaél Hernández Colón • Ideología que se consolida con el PNP en la década del 1990 • Este proceso hace crisis en el 2006 con la derogación de las protecciones de la Ley 936. • Esto en medio del "pensamiento único" sobre EEUU y URSS • Los administradores coloniales se pegan acriticamente a esos discursos neoliberales • El 2008 todo hace crisis Tercer segmento: • Surgimiento en el 2008 de otras alternativas electorales • ¿Por qué fueron esfuerzos diferente al Partido del Pueblo y el PAC? • El PPR surge como partido fuera da la lógica de la relación con EEUU • 2012 aumentan los partidos en esa lógica fuera del "status" • 2016 surgen candidatos independiente • La problemática social va sustituyendo a la relación con la metrópolis como factor unificador Segmento final: • La baja participación en las primarias demuestran la reducción del apoyo popular a las viejas estructuras • A esos partidos solo le quedan "el cartón del rollo" • Ambos partidos hegemónicos adoptan el neopentecostalismo • Por esta razón sus propuestas no serán diferentes • Esto abre la puerta a la posibilidad de triunfo a nuevas organizaciones • Deben surgir nuevas mayorías legislativa • Redefinir la definición de lo que es "mayoría"
