REPELWRAP™ is an award-winning protective surface coating film that prevents the adhesion of pathogens and reduces their transmission on surfaces prone to contamination. This collaboration follows a successful first pilot run where FendX’s REPELWRAP™ film was validated for automated commercial production. Dr. Myers elaborated that the second pilot run is poised to refine formulation processes, paving the way for commercial production anticipated early next year. Beyond the REPELWRAP™ film, FendX is actively engaged in diversified projects such as spray nanotechnology and coated catheters, underscoring their commitment to make people’s lives safer. With a Master Services Agreement signed with nanoComposix for scale-up development of FendX’s spray nanotechnology, Dr. Myers discussed how coating medical catheters with FendX’s nanotechnology can prevent bacterial biofilm formation and blockage.
