Project REAP and Hampton University Partner to Launch First-of-Its-Kind Commercial Real Estate Pathway for Professional Athletes

The initiative, named 3P: Pro Players Property, is designed to equip active and retired athletes from the National Football League, National Basketball Association, and Women's National Basketball Association with the skills and knowledge necessary for successful careers in real estate. By combining Project Real Estate Associate Program's extensive experience in training real estate professionals with Hampton University's academic infrastructure, the program offers a comprehensive curriculum that includes both online and in-person learning experiences. The partnership is set to launch its athlete recruitment at the Super Bowl 2026 in San Francisco, with the pilot program beginning in the 2026-2027 academic year. Participants who complete the program will receive a professional certificate jointly issued by Hampton University and Project Real Estate Associate Program. This initiative not only addresses the financial uncertainties faced by many athletes post-retirement but also aims to build a new pipeline of investors, developers, and industry leaders in the commercial real estate sector.
