This week on Georgia On Your Mind, Chris Sharp sits down with brothers Matt and Jon Stinchcomb at Butts-Mehre Heritage Hall to reflect on a journey defined by brotherhood, competition, and building something together at every stage. From their upbringing in Tucker, Georgia to dominating at Parkview High School, the Stinchcomb brothers share how their bond pushed them to elevate not only their own games, but the programs around them.That same drive carried them to University of Georgia, where they helped set the standard in the trenches through leadership, toughness, and accountability. They turned challenges into success at the highest level of college football. Matt went on to earn All-American honors, became an NFL first round pick (Oakland Raiders), and was inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame, while Jon became a Super Bowl champion with the New Orleans Saints and now serves as the UGA color analyst for the Georgia Bulldog Radio Network.Together, they reflect on how competition strengthened their relationship, the responsibility of leaving programs better than they found them, and the lessons that continue to shape their impact on the next generation of athletes.
