Public transport workers have claimed that antisocial and abusive behaviour has increased across the network.A survey by Siptu of over 200 members at Irish Rail, Bus Éireann, Dublin Bus, Go-Ahead Ireland, Luas and Aircoach also reveals employee concern about progress on a government commitment to set up a dedicated transport police force.A total of 94pc of staff said antisocial and abusive behaviour is an issue at work. Almost half described it as a serious issue, while 46pc said it is a minor issue.Most reported facing verbal abuse, with more than a quarter experiencing physical abuse and one in five reporting racial abuse.Dublin Bus driver, Suzanne Armstrong, joined us on The Agenda this morning to tell us about how bad things really are across the board for herself and other bus drivers. But before we spoke to Suzanne, we heard from SIPTU Transport Sector Organiser, John Murphy, to find out more.Listen back to what they had to say about how bad things are.
