Jake gives his perspective on the success that Purdue has had underneath Matt Painter with the possibility of Kansas, North Carolina, and Kentucky all having head coaching positions open.  (27:14-40:49) – Nathan Baird from the IndyStar makes his debut appearance on Query & Company to discuss the wins that Purdue picked up in St. Louis in the NCAA Tournament. Their conversation starts by discussing the severity of C.J. Cox’s injury, credits P.J. Thompson for drawing up some new offensive sets to get Fletcher Loyer going yesterday, and comments on how well Oscar Cluff has been playing since the start of the conference tournament. (1:36:05-1:59:50) – The IndyStar’s Dustin Dopirak joins Jake Query, and their conversation starts by getting Dustin’s perspective on witnessing a perfect game or no-hitter thrown by an opposing team’s pitcher. They also debate if Darius Acuff is playing his way into the discussion of being worthy of the first overall pick, believes that AJ Dybansta would be the first overall pick if the draft was tomorrow, and assesses if there is more pressure on Rick Carlisle or Tyrese Haliburton to get the Pacers back on track next season. (1:59:50-2:17:07) – Play-by-play broadcaster Brandon Gaudin joins the show to discuss the ending of the Nebraska versus Vanderbilt game with Tyler Tanner’s shot reminding him of Gordon Hayward’s halfcourt shot against Duke that rimmed in and out.
