Six-time world champion Shannon Eckstein is supporting a campaign to include surf life-saving as an event in the 2032 Olympic Games to be held in Brisbane. The sport could be hosted on the Gold Coast or Sunshine Coast, with approximately 60,000 young Australians currently participating in NIPA's programs nationwide. A decision on which sports will be included in the 2032 Games is expected to be made at an Olympic Congress meeting in June.
