In its heyday, it was used by the likes of Pink Floyd and The Who. Quadraphonic sound was all about 4-speaker surround sound (technically 4.0 surround sound). These days, surround sound can spread over 100+ speakers for a totally immersive experience. So why is somebody bringing quad back?
