Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park was the home of the London 2012 Olympic & Paralympic Games. The venues - including London Stadium, the London Aquatics Centre, the Copper Box Arena and Lee Valley VeloPark now sit alongside innovative business districts, great neighbourhoods, schools and universities and cultural centres.In episode one, we hear from two time Olympic medallist Tom Daley about his relationship with the Park where he won his first Olympic medal in 2012 and where he now trains every day. Tom describes his first visit to what became the London Aquatics Centre, what it was like to compete there and how he enjoys training in the centre today.Peter Tudor is the Director of Venues at the London Legacy Development Corporation and takes us on a tour of the Park describing how each of the venues has been re-purposed and what events are being held in them now. We also hear from Nina Mehmi - the Community Sport and Outreach Manager about how the Park is now a place to come and visit with a full programme of events and activities throughout the year.Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park hosts football, athletics, baseball, boxing, skateboarding, swimming and diving amongst other sports.
