Questions over when N15 works will be finished

Questions are being asked over when works near Barnesmore Gap will be finished. The works, which began in January include the construction a hard shoulder on the N15 between Donegal Town and Ballybofey in an area known locally as McGrory's Brae. However, the works were scheduled to be complete by September but are still ongoing, with the traffic light system said to be causing huge tailbacks in both directions, particularly during peak times. Local Donegal Fianna Fail Cllr Patrick McGowan acknowledged that it would be inconceivable for the works to continue into the mouth of Christmas:
