Karen and Sophie today are talking to a mouth cancer clinical oncologist to learn about what patients go through during their treatment.Miguel Reis Ferreira completed his medical degree and specialist training in Lisbon, Portugal. In 2011 he completed the doctoral programme for physicians sponsored by the Gulbenkian Foundation. He then completed his research at the Institute of Cancer Research where he studied the role of the intestinal microbiota in the development of radiotherapy side-effects.
