The self titled EP encompasses six masterpieces, which definitely prove Thenaria's talent in making music not only touching the soul but really ascending the level of the genre. Right from the get-go, as the very first note unravels, it's clear that "Rainbow Travel" isn't just an aural escapade but an odyssey. Each track unwraps as if it were a chapter in a book, unique in setting, mood, and narrative. Then, taking all that on board and using lush synths and ambient pads over a subtle bassline, steady but driving, to carry the whole EP; together yet letting each have its own light. A warmly comforting sound one hears on the first track, vivacious as much as caressing in its melodic composition, blended with soft, caressing percussion. One is tempted to invite the listener on the journey at the very onset. Music gets more intricate and interesting as the EP progresses, with each track adding new layers of sound and music to the whole, making it a superb listen. The middle tracks bring in more rhythmic quality with grounding yet liberating beats carrying the imagination a distance with the body. What distinguishes "Rainbow Travel" is the way they can combine traditional psychill elements with modern, fresh sounds and techniques. Skillfully manipulating electronic and organic sound through Thenaria, he blurred the binary boundaries of the digital and natural worlds, opening a space in which the listener can explore his own consciousness, the universe beyond. The EP closes then with the final two tracks completing a journey and returning again to the stiller, contemplative moods of the opening. This is best summed up in the closing track, which almost feels like a tender goodbye to the listeners, reminiscing on the beauty of that journey and calling them back when their soul might be in need of comfort. "Rainbow Travel" is more than an EP—it's an experience. A reminder of how powerful music is in taking one on a journey to different worlds, linking one with their inner being, evoking a sense of wonder and exploration.
