Starting out in Leipzig with a deep-rooted passion for music, his early influences ranged from hip-hop and funk to the sounds of rave culture, including Mayday and Love Parade. His first steps behind the decks began at school events, eventually leading him into the region’s club circuit as a dedicated hip-hop and black music DJ. For years, YOU&NA was an active presence across Central Germany, performing in clubs and building a solid reputation within the scene. However, the global pause during the pandemic marked a turning point. Stepping away from the familiar, he reconnected with his long-standing interest in electronic music — a shift driven not by trends, but by a desire for authenticity and creative freedom. Today, YOU&NA is part of the Leipzig-based collective *Groovers*, where he contributes not only as a DJ but also as a visual creator, producing photo and video content and supporting the crew’s digital formats, including their distinctive livestream series. His multidisciplinary approach reflects a new generation of artists who seamlessly merge music, media, and storytelling.
