Record health budget yields just 162 additional hospital beds

Just 162 additional beds are being created in hospitals this year, a fraction of the number required to match population growth and aging and to compensate for historical deficits. Anthony Staines, Professor of Health Systems at the School of Nursing and Human Sciences in DCU gave his reaction.
