This weeks podcast guest is Joe Kane. Joe is a director, actor, producer, writer, and musician. Joe has two production companies he co-operates; Heckler Kane Creations and Tough Monkey entertainment. This week Joe and Dave talk in detail about the importance of directing and trusting your casting choice with their ideas, directing yourself, hustling to make something happen with a short time frame, reality t.v. directing vs narrative, the mythology of BATMAN, following up on the "campfire" element of story telling in modern culture brought up by Joe's business partner and guest two shows ago-Sal Conca, and a slew of other topics. The podcast is hosted by indie film director, producer, writer, and actor David LaRosa, who is also the President of the indie film company Feenix Films, which was founded in 2008. Dave has 5 features as a Director under his belt, as well as 3 shorts. He is currently developing 2 films which he also co-wrote. Along with directing, acting, writing, and producing Dave has his Masters in Social Work from Fordham University; a B.A. in Psychology with a minor in Political Science; worked with individuals with disabilities; and has also been a therapist/counselor.
