Leah Thomas is an intersectional environmental activist on a mission to dismantle systems of oppression in the environmental movement. Her personal platform @greengirlleah [https://www.instagram.com/greengirlleah/?hl=en] was born out of a space that lacked representation of Black people in the outdoors and spoke to her passion of getting people started on their environmental justice journey. Her quest for self-authenticity, environmental justice and sustainability created the momentum for her educational page, @intersectionalenvironmentalist [http://instagram.com/intersectionalenvironmentalist], to go viral. In this episode, Leah drops gem after gem: how de-stigmatizing cannabis use for Black and Brown people relates to the environmental movement; how making our environmental efforts inclusive and intersectional benefits everyone; and how expanding our understanding of Indigenous land protectors makes our environmental impact more effective.  SOCIALS Featured Guest: @greengirlleah [https://instagram.com/greengirlleah] | greengirlleah.com [https://www.greengirlleah.com/] | @intersectionalenvironmentalist [http://instagram.com/intersectionalenvironmentalist]| intersectionalenvironmentalist.com [https://www.intersectionalenvironmentalist.com/]| @thegreensgirlco [http://instagram.com/thegreensgirlco] | thegreensgirlco.com [https://thegreensgirlco.com/] NATI Podcast Links: Podcast @nomadsattheintersections [https://www.instagram.com/nomadsattheintersectionspod/] Community @diversify.vanlife [https://www.instagram.com/diversify.vanlife/] Host @irietoaurora [https://www.instagram.com/irietoaurora/] Season 1 Co-Host @anaismoniq [https://www.instagram.com/anaismoniq/] Stay tuned for re-launch of Nomads at the Intersections, coming this Summer, 2024. Beyond Asian: Stories of the Third Culture Bear Radio The Third Culture is what emerges at the intersection between your culture of origin, and the other cultures by which you’ve been shaped. Beyond Asian is a place for stories of global nomads with Asian roots, brought up in diversity. Together, we explore the interplay of our pasts with our presents, and our relationships with the multiple cultures we move in. These are more than conversations about Asian identity - they’re portraits of whole people - what keeps them up at night, what their hearts long for, and the impact they hope to have on their communities. I’m your host, Sen Zhan, a Third Culture Kid born in China, raised in Canada, and currently based in Berlin. This series is a first step towards making peace with my own Asian background, and it’s my hope that other Third Culture Asians will hear themselves reflected in our stories. New episodes on Sundays, every 2 weeks. Explicit Sci-Fi Nomads Dustin Williams Do you love Sci-Fi? We take a look at, about, around, and behind the scenes of all your favorite….uh…and not so favorite Sci-Fi movies, films, and TV shows. Explicit Free Range Nomad Christopher Jack This podcast is for digital nomads, remote workers, freelancers, wannabes, really anyone interested in what's happening in the subculture of location independence! The thoughts and opinions expressed on the podcast may or may not reflect my personal opinions; however, I reserve the right to change my thoughts and opinions at anytime and for any reason...especially when things are trending. Explicit That Marketing Dude Show (TMD Show) Luke Benjamin Thomas That Marketing Dude was founded by me, Luke Benjamin Thomas, a world traveler, digital nomad and motor mouth. I help digital nomads and location independent entrepreneurs, and those aspiring to become either, to build businesses that allow them to focus more on travel.I started this podcast because I was sick of listening to the same type of shows... So I created something different. I bring on guests as "co-hosts", not to interrogate them. I publish 3 shows a month talking about a specific topic related to business or travel and 1 episode a month purely on travel stories. With inspiration from people like; Pat Flynn and Smart Passive Income, Chris Ducker at Youpreneur, John Lee Dumas for EOFire, Josh and Jill Stanton from Screw The Nine to Five, Tim Ferriss and his 4 Hour Work Week book AND of course sprinkle in some awesome travel stories like you see at Extra Pack of Peanuts and Zero To Travel... I think I've created a rather unique show!Subscribe Explicit
