Releasing Control

from Harmonized Ambitions · host Rachael Phillips

Hi, I’m Rachael Lou. Thanks for tuning into Harmonized Ambitions. This podcast explores how ambitious women pursue success while also protecting their happiness and peace. Many women build careers, businesses, and families that look successful from the outside while quietly carrying pressure, overthinking, and the constant feeling that something still needs to be figured out.In this episode, we talk about the role control plays in the lives of driven women and how the desire to control outcomes can sometimes keep you stuck. Many ambitious people operate with a clear vision of how their life is supposed to unfold. You set a goal, build a plan, and work relentlessly toward it. In this episode, I describe this as Path A.Path A is the version of life you decided you wanted years ago. It might be a specific career path, a business goal, a relationship timeline, or the image of success you believed would bring fulfillment. The challenge is that many women become so committed to creating Path A that they stop noticing other possibilities. While you are focused on forcing Path A to work, another possibility often exists at the same time. I call this Path B.Path B may look different from the plan you originally created. It may require releasing control, stepping outside your comfort zone, or trusting opportunities that you didn’t expect. For many driven women, this is uncomfortable because control often feels like protection. When you control outcomes, you believe you can avoid uncertainty and keep things stable. In reality, that same control can limit growth and block opportunities that might bring more alignment, joy, and fulfillment. In this episode we discuss:• Why high achieving women often rely on control to create success• How rigid plans can prevent you from seeing better opportunities• The difference between forcing outcomes and allowing growth to unfold• How releasing control can open the door to new possibilitiesGrowth often requires stepping away from the plan you originally believed was the only option. When you allow yourself to consider a different path, new opportunities can appear that you were not able to see before. If this episode resonated with you and you want support creating more alignment between your success and your personal wellbeing, I created a 10 day experience called Harmonizing Success + Happiness.Inside Harmonizing Success + Happiness you receive:• One strategy call to identify the three biggest blocks affecting your progress• A personalized action plan for your next chapter• Ten days of direct messaging support while you implement the shiftsYou can learn more through this link or send me a message on Instagram with the word HARMONY to receive $111 off.Harmonized: https://www.paypal.com/ncp/payment/DSBTSJLB8XF4QFollow the podcast and share this episode with another ambitious woman who is learning how to build success without losing herself in the process.
