A licensed Baptist minister and ordained in the United Church of Christ, Mia currently serves as the Senior Pastor of Riverside Baptist Church in Washington, D.C. where she is the first African American and first woman to serve in the role in the church’s history. She holds degrees from Union Theological Seminary in the City of New York, New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts, and Syracuse University. Above all this, she is a daughter, an aunt, a sister, a niece, a friend, and the proud dog mom of Harrison Claiborne McClain.Follow Rev.
