from The Rhode Island Weather Podcast
Good morning! I'm Aaron Jolly, and welcome to the Rhode Island Weather Podcast. It's Saturday, February 19th. Folks, step outside and you'll feel that crisp 29 degrees in Providence. Down along Narragansett Bay, it's a touch milder at 31. Light north winds barely nudging 3 miles an hour inland, maybe 6 near the coast. Here's the thing. Your coffee steam is going to hang in the air like a little ghost this morning. That's how still it's out there. Now here's the deal. Today's a beauty. Sunny skies all day long. Providence climbs to 36 degrees by afternoon. The Bay pushes 38. That's actually a few ticks above normal for late February. Perfect weather for bundling up and walking the shoreline if you ask me. The kind of day where the sun feels warmer than the thermometer says it should. Tonight, temperatures slide back. Providence drops to 22 degrees. The Bay holds at 25. Northwest winds stay light, so it'll be cold but calm. No drama. Tomorrow brings more sunshine with highs near 40 inland and 42 along the coast. A quiet, gorgeous end to the weekend. Here's your heads up for the week ahead. We're staying dry and seasonable straight through. Highs hover in the upper 30s to low 40s. No storms lurking. Just a slow, steady warm up as March creeps closer. You can almost smell it. One more thing worth celebrating. We're gaining nearly 3 minutes of daylight every single day now. Sunrise at 6:34, sunset at 5:27. Air quality is in the good range too. So get outside. Your lungs and your mood will thank you. Alright. If you're enjoying these daily updates, share us with a friend who's always asking about the weather. You know the one. Stay safe out there, folks. That's your forecast — we'll be back tomorrow.
