Good morning. Rhode Island. I'm Michael Mosby. If you step outside right now, you might walk straight into patchy fog. But here's the thing. Once the sun burns through by mid-morning, you're in for something special. Providence hits 67 degrees today. That's 21 degrees above normal for early March. Spring is crashing the party early. Down along Narragansett Bay, the ocean keeps things cooler — you'll top out at 54. But push inland and you're climbing into the upper 60s. Light south breezes, mostly sunny skies. Perfect weather for a lunchtime walk if you ask me. Tonight stays mild. Lows drop to 35 in Providence, 36 near the bay. That patchy fog rolls back in after 2 A.M., so if you're an early riser Tuesday, expect some haze greeting you. Tuesday cranks up the heat even more. We're talking near-record territory — 69 degrees in Providence, 56 along the coast. Full sunshine. South winds stay light. With the spring equinox just 11 days away, you can feel the daylight stretching. We're gaining nearly 3 minutes a day now. Wednesday clouds roll in with a slight chance of rain. Thursday brings the real action — rain likely, possibly heavy at times, with west winds gusting to 25. That's when temperatures crash. By Thursday night, we're talking 26 degrees with a chance of snow mixing in. Friday stays chilly in the low 40s with another round of rain and snow possible heading into the weekend.
