Romans 1:14-16 - Eager to Pray, Give, Go, and Live for Jesus

from Pastor Mike Impact Ministries · host Michael L Grooms

Today, Thursday December 24 – Romans 1:14-16 – Merry Christmas!!!!! But what a tragedy, that as most of the world today celebrates one of the greatest and most significant events in all of human history, they have never experienced the real reason for the season! God Himself is robed in human flesh so that He could die and pay the penalty for our sins! There are two verses that I remind myself of every morning as I have my quiet time with the Lord. Hebrews 2:14-15 - “Because God’s children are human beings—made of flesh and blood—the Son also became flesh and blood. For only as a human being could he die, and only by dying could he break the power of the devil, who had the power of death. Only in this way could he set free all who have lived their lives as slaves to the fear of dying.” When the Apostle Paul met Jesus on the Damascus Road, he immediately begin to live his life to share Jesus with everyone he could. I love his three “I am” statements in these three verse in Romans 1. “I am debtor” – Paul felt he owed a debt, first to God and the Lord Jesus Christ for saving him. He owed a debt to those, like Stephen who had been willing to die for the sake of the Gospel. He owed a debt to those who were lost in their sins and still needed to hear! But Paul was also ready! “I am ready” – Paul was prepared, he was predisposed, he was eager, to pray, to give, to go, to live and to die, so that this wonderful story of Christmas might be shared with as many people as possible. God gave us this great gift of salvation through His Son Jesus. Are you ready to give the Lord the gift and sacrifice of your life so that others can be set free? Be prepared to share this story with someone this Christmas season! God bless!
