Romans 12:2 - A Renewed Mind

from Pastor Mike Impact Ministries · host Michael L Grooms

Today, Thursday March 11 Romans 12:1-2 – A Renewed Mind Every part of the body is so vitally important to be able to live and enjoy life the way God intended. To lose any member of your body, such as your arm, leg or hand, would definitely be a tragedy and force you live life differently.  To lose one of your five senses, such as your sight or hearing, would also change things drastically for you the rest of your life. But many people have suffered these loses and they have adapted and still lived fulfilled and successful lives. But is there is something that you would never want to lose, and that is your mind. The ability to cognately think and make choices. Your mind is more than just your brains in your head. It is your mind that puts it altogether and determines your course of life. We can’t afford to lose our minds. And we really can’t afford for our minds to get messed up with the wrong kind of thinking! That’s why Paul tells us that we need to have a “renewed mind”. Did you know that you have the choice to have like a “new” mind every day? A fresh mind that is ready to face the difficulties and challenges of life! Over the next few days, I will be encouraging you to take the time every day to practice a discipline that will “transform” you life! That discipline is the intake of God’s Word. Jesus said that “Man should not live by bread alone, but by every Word that proceeds from the mouth of God.” And that Word is available to us today in the Bible! Start each day by taking time to take in God’s thoughts! I guarantee you it will make a difference in your life! God bless!
