Romans 5 - Peace With God

from Pastor Mike Impact Ministries · host Michael L Grooms

Today, Monday January 25 - Romans 5 - Deep down inside, every human being has a desire for peace.  And the fact that we are looking for peace, and need peace, indicates that something is not right. Something is wrong. The opposite of peace is war, strife or conflict of some kind.  This conflict can be internally within a person.  It can be between individuals. It can be between political parties.  It can be between nations.  And this peace we are seeking can be so elusive.  We might experience it for a few hours or a day or two and then it disappears and we are at conflict once again. I have good news for us today!  There is a peace that can be lasting! Jesus said in John 14:27 - "Peace I leave with you, My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid."  The peace the world gives never last, but the peace that Jesus can give you is a peace that endures and continues within, even when the trouble is surrounding you.  In Romans 5:1, Paul calls this "peace with God", which is a result and blessing of being justified by our faith in His Son Jesus Christ!  I trust that today's chat will help you to find and enjoy this lasting peace!  God bless!
