Every single entrepreneur is in the exact same business - the people business. When it comes to finding talent, partners, clients, etc., building effective business relationships is the difference between success and failure. In this interview, Royace Gulley, CEO of SynchOne, shares his entrepreneurial story. Royace has always been the guy who wanted to know how things work. He never quite fit in his hometown so he knew he needed to find where he did fit. At 19, he went to the military and grew in discipline as he gained IT skills. When he left, he knew he needed more education. When he had his education and necessary certifications, he saw doors open! Then he was able to say no to opportunities because there were so many available to him. He started his entrepreneurial journey with his IT skills. He learned how to best utilize the relationships that he was making. He learned that having business partners was essential to his success. When he had a partner, they could each use their strengths and complement each other and make the business stronger. Building effective business relationships with partners and clients and this is how he has been able to meet billionaires and stars. When he found that a business associate was stealing money from him, he decided that he would discover how to distribute music for himself. This is how his company, SynchOne, has been able to distribute music from so many and create opportunity. He provides incredible service to his musicians. This is all possible because of the relationships that he has built and the lessons he has learned from circumstances and those around him. His failures and successes have helped him become the entrepreneur that he is. He has learned and grown and shares his journey with us.
