Royal Cheshire Show Celebrates 10 Years
from Manchester News Today | The Daily News Now!
The Royal Cheshire Show is back for its 188th year — and it’s bigger than ever, celebrating Cheshire’s countryside and rural economy with over 80,000 visitors. This year’s extra special: it’s the 10th anniversary of the show’s Royal status. Running now at Clay House Farm in Knutsford, the event kicks off at 8 AM and goes until 10 PM tonight, then resumes from 8 AM to 6 PM tomorrow. Located just off the A556 near the M6, it’s packed with fun: giant tortoises, livestock competitions (cattle, sheep, pigs, dairy goats), motorcycle stunts, vintage machinery, food stalls, and crafts. Plus, dogs welcome — just keep them leashed and clean up after them. It’s a vibrant, community-driven tribute to Cheshire’s rural heart.
