S.07 E.01 – Jimmy Bower of Eyehategod

from Interview Under Fire Podcast · host Interview Under Fire/ eyehategod

Send us Fan MailWe welcome to IUF, seasoned veteran guitarist Jimmy Bower from the New Orleans-based band Eyehategod. The doom-slinging sludge-punk masters are back with their 6th studio album “A History Of Nomadic Behavior”. This album, while it does cover a lot of ground in the political themes, is also the reflection of the chaos and elation the band have experienced over the past three years of touring. Jimmy dives into those experiences and how the process went when the members got together to record the new songs, even during quarantine, which is an easier-said-than-done process. We also talk about the New Orleans metal scene, and how local bands such as Goatwhore, Crowbar, Soilent Green and others continue to make the music for themselves and the passionate fans in the locale. It's a scene that's been around for over 30 years and will still continue to grow. The new album had some prominent work done by dedicated producers and mixers alongside Eyehategod, which helped Jimmy and his bandmates be at ease while giving it their all in this masterpiece of a record. Tune into this episode now with Jimmy and make sure to buy/stream Eyehategod's new album “A History Of Nomadic Behavior” out now on Century Media Records.
