Gratitude and forgiveness come naturally to you as a result of your own healing. So don't force yourself to be grateful or to forgive. That will slow down your healing. Real and sustainable gratitude and forgiveness come from these efforts: Don't give up on yourself. Surrender to your higher self. Train the ego to work with your higher self.
