The Rural & Northern Immigration Pilot (RNIP) was created by the Government of Canada to assist communities in the Northern & Rural regions of Canada to attract skilled immigrants to their region. The RNIP allows immigrants overseas or post-secondary students with that participating communities to apply to live and work in that community. It allows the community to nominate that individual and their family for Permanent Residency.
