from 1st Amendment News Podcast · host Pop Knows

Following the resumption of official business in the United States Congress after a fourteen day recess, House Minority Leader Joe Dean Malloy wasted little time in attempting to seize control of the chaotic situation.  From the opening gavel, the disarray within the Social Reform Party ranks was evident.  Assistant Speaker of the House Anglia Conklin opened the session and was immediately challenged in her leadership role.  As the first order of business, Deputy Chairman of the Ways and Means Committee Lester Mayes brought up a motion to open the floor for discussion of qualified nominees to be considered for the permanent duty of Speaker of the House and to bring the proposal up for an immediate vote.
