s2-#05 BY NIGHT ON MY BED (Seeking my Lord)

Fables, false doctrines, pagan idols, and apostate religion defile us. God's desire is to cleanse us if we seek the Lord and desire Him as our beloved.  "By night on my bed, I sought him {Jesus} whom my soul loveth: I sought him, but I found him not." (Song of Solomon 3:1) The problem is that we seek our beloved Lord in all the wrong places. We seek him in education through seminaries and Bible colleges, but "if we claim to have fellowship with him and yet walk in the darkness, we lie and do not live out the truth" (1 John 1:15). We seek him in the broadway, of denominational religion, but "broad is the way that leadeth to destruction" (Mt 7:13). We seek Him in traditions, but our fathers have inherited lies (Jer. 16:19).
