s2- #14 CLEANSING OUR FLESH & SPIRIT (2 Cor. 7:1)

If we are "elected" individually by God to be in His kingdom, we cannot die the first death until all necessary changes to our Adamic nature have been accomplished. Only then can I say with Paul, "I have been crucified with Christ. It is no longer I who live, but Christ who lives in me. And the life I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God..." (Galatians 2:20). So our purpose—from the moment we accept Christ until we die—is to be transformed into the "likeness" of Jesus. Bear in mind, our earthly ancestors, Adam and Eve, were created in God's image and likeness. (Genesis 1:26) We retain the "image" but not the "likeness" (that is the nature of our Lord, Jesus). Brother Singh has taught us that not only is it God's plan to restore His nature to His elect, but far beyond — to give us immortality.
