S2 - #83 APPRECIATING OUR PAST LEADERS

Every called man of God has been influenced, trained, and shaped by someone God called before him. Elisha followed Elijah; the disciples followed Jesus; Timothy followed Paul. That is the pattern God uses, and it has not changed through the ages. Paul Singh recounts his arrival in America from Guinea, South America, to meet and train under Brother Lloyd Goodwin in this brief remarkable message. He tells of his family's sacrifices to accompany him, the rejection he faced as a young minister. Anyone who leaves mainstream denominationalism to embrace greater truth is labeled a false prophet. That is because the ideas and goals of men manufacture religion. What begins as pure religion turns over time into iniquity. When a man of God stands against wickedness, he develops many enemies. It takes a revelation from God to see what others cannot see and hear God speaking through an anointed minister. "It is the Spirit who gives life; the flesh profits nothing. The words that I speak to you are spirit, and they are life." (John 6:68) Just as God used Brother Goodwin to change Brother Singh's life, in turn, he has touched my life and countless others around the globe.
