Brother Singh asserts that by 12 or 13, every young person needs to have set both spiritual and secular goals for their life. Our spiritual goal ought to be stated similarly to that of the Apostle Paul: To apprehend or achieve that for which Christ Jesus called me. (Philippians 3:12) Our secular goal is the profession that we wish to achieve. Whether the goal is to qualify in a trade, to become a teacher, or doctor—studies and energies are then directed to achieving that end. Sacrifice is demanded to achieve both goals.
