The climax of a spiritual journey is the death of an elect child of God. If predestined for salvation (Eph. 1:5), we cannot die until the level of perfection determined for us is accomplished. Our journey follows a path predetermined before time began. It meanders through obstacles and conflicts while we part of the church, members of Christ's body, helping us transition from our carnal nature to spiritual. In the church, the souls of just men are made perfect. (Hebrews 12:23) Brother Singh states that it is in the church we "learn to love the unlovable."
